❓ Frequently Asked Questions – Axe Throwing
Where is the lane located?
We are located in downtown Budapest, at Dohány utca 30/A, easily accessible. Look for the stairs on the ground floor and come down to the basement. It is also easily accessible by public transport: just a few minutes’ walk from the tram, metro, or bus. You will also receive the exact address and directions in the confirmation email.
When are you open?
We are open every day. Wednesday – Saturday between 12:00 PM – 10:00 PM, and Sunday – Tuesday between 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM (the last reservation starts one hour before closing). If you would like to come at a different time, write to us and we will find a solution!
How can I book?
Simply via our online booking form. If you get stuck or have questions, feel free to contact us by email or phone.
What size groups do you accommodate?
You can come with as few as 2 people, and the maximum is 50 participants. If you would like to bring an even larger group, contact us and we will sort it out!
What can I expect?
Upon arrival, you will receive a short (approx. 5-minute) introduction: rules, technique, practice throws. After that, the game begins! You can compete with each other, try out different axes, and of course, lots of laughter awaits you. The atmosphere is like stepping into a modern-day Viking pub.
How long does a session last?
The length of a Basic Package is 60-90-120 minutes according to your choice, and the length of the other packages is 90 minutes. Please arrive 5-10 minutes early so you have more time for throwing and less “paperwork.”
How safe is it?
Very! Our instructors will teach you everything step-by-step and supervise you throughout. Our lanes are built according to international standards, with safety netting and separate throwing lanes.
Do I need to bring equipment?
No, we provide everything – multiple types of axes and all necessary protective gear.
What are the rules?
The rules will be explained in detail upon arrival, and our instructors will supervise you throughout.
What should I wear on my feet?
We recommend closed-toe shoes, but you can come in sandals, flip-flops, or high heels; however, they may hinder your throwing. Flat-soled, closed-toe shoes are always a better choice for axe throwing.
Can we come in costume?
Of course! Especially if you dress up as Vikings! Just be careful that the costume does not restrict the movement of your arms and is not offensive to others.
Can I participate if I have a disability?
Axe throwing is generally suitable for anyone, but shoulder or arm problems may make throwing more difficult. If you are unsure, consult your doctor or contact us for advice. Important: the venue is only accessible via stairs.
Can I play if I am pregnant?
We do not recommend it. The throw can be strenuous, and we do not want to risk your safety.
Is there an age limit?
The general age limit for playing is over 18, but you can come to play from 14 years old with parental consent and adult supervision.
Are drinks available at the venue?
Yes, you can buy drinks: beer and soft drinks. We ask that you arrive sober and consume responsibly.
Can you provide food?
We generally have smaller snacks available. If you would like more substantial catering, please arrange it with us in advance, and we will organize it.
Can I give it as a gift?
Yes! You can buy an axe-throwing experience voucher, in either digital or printed form. You can find the “give as a gift” menu option to purchase a voucher. This is a gift that won’t gather dust on a shelf – it will remain an experience forever.
Can I book a private event?
Yes, whether it’s a corporate event, birthday, or other special occasion. Send us an inquiry, and we will contact you shortly.
What if I arrive late?
Please arrive at least 5-10 minutes early. If you are late, it will cut into your throwing time.
What if I didn’t receive a confirmation?
Check your spam folder as well. If it’s not there, feel free to contact us by email or phone (during opening hours), and we will assist you immediately.
Can I modify my booking?
Yes, but please notify us as soon as possible so we can certainly find a solution.
Can I bring my own axe?
Yes, but only if it is a throwing axe (max. 60 cm long) and is in good condition.
Can I just watch?
Yes, if you don’t want to throw, you are welcome to sit down for a drink and watch the others from a safe distance.
Is it possible to take photos and videos?
Of course! In fact, we are happy if you share the photos and videos. Don’t forget to tag us on social media – we’re curious how much you enjoyed it!
Is there a championship or league?
Yes! We regularly organize competitions and leagues. If you are interested, let us know, and we will inform you about the next opportunities.
What languages do you speak?
All of our instructors communicate confidently in Hungarian and English.
